Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? The PW800 Test Schedule Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance to the PW800 engine test schedule at the Middletown, CT site. This role serves as a key interface between P&W Canada, PWES, and PWA MT, facilitating seamless communication and project alignment. The Project Manager continually monitors progress, identifies risks, and expedites engine movement and test activities to maintain schedules and deliverables. On-site presence at our Middletown facility is required. You must also have the ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams. You will work standard hours (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm), but the role may also require flexibility for urgent test schedule needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM field and 5+ years’ experience in project management, scheduling, or test operations (preferably in aerospace or manufacturing), OR an Associate's Degree and 7+ years' prior relevant experience, OR in lieu of a degree 9+ years' prior relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience performing test operations on PW1100 or other geared turbo fan engine model
  • Knowledge of PW800 engine program and associated stakeholders (PWC, PWES, PWA)
  • PMP or similar project management certification
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, or similar scheduling/project management tools
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between PWC, PWES, and PWA Middletown for all PW800 engine test activities.
  • Monitor and manage the test schedule, ensuring all milestones are met and compliance is maintained with program requirements.
  • Track engines on test and proactively expedite actions to resolve bottlenecks or delays.
  • Provide regular status updates and reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate logistics, resources, and priorities to keep the test program on track.
  • Identify risks to schedule or compliance and implement mitigation plans in collaboration with engineering, operations, and customer teams.
  • Lead or support test schedule meetings, maintain tracking tools, and facilitate clear information flow across all parties.
