We are currently searching for a Material Handler to be based out of Louisville, KY. Reporting to the Manufacturing Shift Lead (Supervisor), this person will be responsible for packaging product, monitor product for defects, assist in the startup and changeover process for products, and to keep work areas safe, clean, and well organized.

Requirements

• Minimum educational requirement is high school diploma, or equivalent.
• Good understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization.
• Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Confirm the product running on each Extrusion line with the Production schedule.
• Assist with Quality Control duties including monitoring saw cuts, pipe length, bell fit, print line confirmation, chamfer/bevel, and reference line spacing.
• Package finished pipe in proper crate quantities.
• Weigh and transport finished product via forklift (Atkore certification will be provided).
• Cut crate boards to proper lengths and adjust if needed.
• Assist with the start-up and changeover of the PVC extrusion lines.
• Understand how to get pipe into specification.
• Identify pipe products that are out of specification.
• Perform maintenance and cleanup for production and storage areas.
• Proficient with all material handling and packaging devices.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
