Putnam Equity Externship 2026

Franklin Templeton
117d

About The Position

This is a great opportunity for rising Sophomores and Juniors to learn more about Putnam, investment research, and career paths in the investment field. Over the course of the three-day Externship, in Putnam’s Boston office, candidates will experience first hand the day to day responsibilities of a Putnam Equity Analyst. Upon arriving, Externs are paired into small groups with other similarly hard-working, self-driven, and passionate people. These small groups are each supported by an analyst mentor who helps them leverage Putnam’s internal and external resources as they conduct bottoms up fundamental research into a company. Throughout the three days the externs will also have the chance to meet and engage with numerous Putnam Associates, Analysts, and Portfolio Manager’s. At the end of the program, each Extern group will present a stock pitch with a “Buy, Sell, or Hold” recommendation to a broader group of Putnam employees. In the past, the Externship has acted as a funnel into our full summer Internship. The 3-day Externship at Putnam's Boston office will take place May 27 – May 29, 2026.
