About The Position

The Pursuits Manager drives strategic business development by leading high-impact proposals and marketing campaigns that are both compliant and compelling. This role manages the full proposal lifecycle from concept to client presentation ensuring alignment with RFP/RFQ requirements and clarity in scope for both clients and internal teams.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in proposals, marketing, technical writing, or a related discipline.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and project management capabilities, complemented by proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

  • Design, write and produce proposals, presentations, and other marketing collateral in support of new business development efforts.
  • Responsible for producing proposals, research, presentations, and marketing materials across print and digital platforms.
  • Manage the development and refinement of marketing content, including planning, researching, interviewing, writing and editing copy, to develop compelling stories that resonate with Colonial’s existing and prospective clients.
  • Perform full life cycle proposal development tasks in support of new location proposal formulation & delivery.
  • Partner with executive leadership, senior staff and legal counsel to develop or acquire necessary proposal and presentation materials.
  • Create proposal timeline and checklists to ensure timeliness, compliance, and quality control of all deliverables.
  • Prepare assessment of proposal’s requirements noting any unusual technical, financial, and/or schedule risks.
  • Clearly define the Scope of Work and Services offered to the client and identify any clarifications or exceptions to the client’s inquiry.
  • Provide timely updates on capture efforts to business development leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment across teams.
  • Contribute subject matter expertise in capture and proposal development to support new business opportunities.
  • Develop tailored marketing and amenity plans for facilities as needed to enhance client engagement and brand visibility.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on prospective and existing clients, competitors, and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Manage all social media platforms (LinkedIn, and Instagram).
