About the position

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Pursuit Manager to spearhead customer opportunities, driving successful outcomes and maximizing profit and growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess strong multitasking abilities, strategic planning skills, and the capability to collaborate across a diverse range of stakeholders. This position will be a hybrid role based on-site in Milwaukee, WI and will report to our Director, Solution Design, NA.

Responsibilities

  • Capable of multitasking, planning, and delegating to meet established timelines for Integrated Project Design pursuits.
  • Work with the sales team to qualify and strategize opportunities through the Win Strategy process.
  • Ensure adherence to pursuit processes to drive consistency and efficiency in delivering successful outcomes in sales pursuits.
  • Contribute to design strategies early in the sales cycle to influence customer biasing and specification writing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Integrated Project Design members, Sales Leadership, Channel Partners, Business Units, Contracts, and Negotiations.
  • Utilize commercial and technical skills to negotiate internally and externally, ensuring a sound understanding of cost, value, and profit margins.
  • Communicate scope, risk, and financials effectively to executive-level leadership for project approvals.
  • Coordinate and manage legal terms and conditions, interfacing with RA Contract and Negotiations team, 3rd Parties, and customers.
  • Maintain Integrated Project Design business tools to support automation of activities such as forecasting, reporting, and opportunity management.
  • Actively seek and participate in continuous improvement through feedback and formal/informal training opportunities.
  • Provide coaching to the sales force as required to enhance sales competency.
  • Build collaborative relationships with key 3rd party suppliers and integrators.
  • Effectively articulate the Integrated Project Design value message and business models in various scenarios.
  • Apply engineering skills for analysis to qualify equipment in applications.
  • Network internally to understand and apply product synergies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Nice-to-haves

  • Five or more years of technical experience with electrical or control systems.
  • Good knowledge of industrial products and applications.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with Prefabricated Modular Buildings, Single Line Drawings, motors, switchgear, transformers, process control, and/or digital applications.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with large project execution experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' sales experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' leadership experience.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a cross-regional team.
  • Demonstrated technical communication and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated customer relationship skills.
