About The Position
The position involves a variety of administrative and safety responsibilities on a fishing vessel. The Purser will operate the Amos D computer Data Program for requisitioning and managing purchase orders, as well as the Vessel Data Center (VDC) for crew management and reporting. The role requires generating various reports for regulatory compliance and managing electronic equipment. Safety responsibilities include being a member of the safety committee, conducting safety inspections, and providing medical treatment to crew members. The Purser will also assist with docking procedures and maintain compliance with FCC requirements while operating in Washington state waters.
