Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant industry lab experience OR Master’s degree in a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant industry lab experience
  • Professional leadership experience is required
  • Hands-on experience with: Protein solutions, Protein chromatography and analytical characterization
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Lead and schedule team members in a client-based lab environment
  • Train employees, conduct performance reviews, and manage training records
  • Interview candidates and support succession planning
  • Foster morale, collaboration, and a positive team culture
  • Ensure lab operations meet high standards for quality and efficiency
  • Execute automated protein purifications using chromatographic techniques, TFF, and AKTA systems
  • Characterize protein solutions using Agilent HPLC and SDS-PAGE
  • Perform routine analytical measurements (pH, UV-Vis, HPLC)
  • Prepare buffers and solutions; maintain inventories and lab equipment
  • Clean and maintain AKTA systems (including CIP procedures)
  • Document assay data and contribute to study reports
  • Maintain accurate records in electronic lab notebooks
  • Participate in investigations and ensure adherence to GLP and company policies
