About The Position
The patient care technician (PCT) at Pure Life Renal works under the direct supervision of a licensed professional nurse to provide essential technical and patient care treatment activities for dialysis patients. This role is critical in ensuring that patients receive the prescribed dialysis treatment in accordance with physician orders, nursing assessments, and the policies and procedures of Pure Life Renal. The PCT is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, operating various medical equipment, and maintaining a safe and sanitary environment in the dialysis facility. In this position, the PCT will perform a variety of patient care duties, including administering and monitoring dialysis treatments, documenting treatment notes in electronic medical records, and reporting any significant changes in patient conditions or equipment issues. The PCT must also be prepared to assist with emergency procedures, including initiating basic CPR measures in the event of a cardiac or pulmonary arrest. This role requires proficiency in operating dialysis-related equipment and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols. Additionally, the PCT will participate in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge in patient care. This position is vital to the overall functioning of the dialysis unit and requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who is committed to providing excellent care to patients.
