About The Position

The primary purpose of the Purchasing Technician (OR) is to perform the duties associated with the ordering, receiving, stocking, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment. This position performs such duties as filling supply and equipment orders, processing supply and equipment charges into an automated system and receiving medical supplies and equipment for the Surgery Department.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma.
• Two to three years of experience in the OR environment in a clinical or technical position or similar supply experience in materials/purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties associated with ordering medical supplies and equipment.
• Receive and stock medical supplies and equipment.
• Fill supply and equipment orders.
• Process supply and equipment charges into an automated system.
