About The Position

The Purchasing Supply Analyst at Georgia-Pacific is responsible for supporting the buying of commercial, retail, and Dixie brand products within the Supply Chain Outsourcing Organization. This role involves managing vendor production, reconciling raw materials, and collaborating with vendors and procurement to enhance service delivery. The analyst must be self-directed, possess problem-solving skills, and work effectively with both internal and external customers to meet vendor production needs.

Requirements

  • Experience in procurement, purchasing, or manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, data analysis), and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Supply Chain Management or Business Management/Administration.
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience in purchasing, inventory control, planning, or manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership capability and experience working with suppliers.
  • Experience utilizing SAP for purchasing functions and inventory management.
  • Experience with multiple ERP systems including S4, Ariba, and TOPs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency, accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Integrity, dedication, proactivity, and a positive work attitude.
  • Team building skills and effective communication with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage outside vendor production through purchase order management with domestic and international vendors according to the Supply Plan.
  • Determine raw material requirements for outside purchased items and communicate these to vendors via purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with vendors and Georgia-Pacific mill facilities to ensure timely supply of raw materials to finished good converters.
  • Monitor short-term demand fluctuations to maintain inventory supply at stocking locations in line with the monthly S&OP process.
  • Utilize Georgia Pacific's Ariba invoicing system to resolve invoicing discrepancies.
  • Support new vendor start-ups, product launches, transitions, and depletions, including GP owned material depletion on discontinued items.
  • Work with corporate accounting on yearly physical count calendar and support physical counts and reconciliations at vendor locations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to eliminate non-value added work and complexity.
  • Lead and participate in regular vendor meetings to align on production and purchase order delivery schedules.
  • Create long-term value through excellence in execution and alignment with internal and external customers.
