About The Position

This position will be an in-office position located in our Rock Springs, WY office. The Purchasing Specialist supports the procurement function by assisting with purchasing activities, vendor coordination, and inventory tracking. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual looking to build a career in supply chain, procurement, or operations. The specialist works closely with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure timely, cost-effective, and accurate purchasing of materials and services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field preferred
• Entry-level experience in purchasing, logistics, or administrative roles
• Microsoft Office Suite experience

Nice To Haves

• ERP software experience
• Understanding of inventory or supply chain concepts

Responsibilities

• Assist with creating and processing purchase orders in accordance with company policies
• Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, delivery schedules, and order status
• Track open purchase orders and follow-up to ensure on-time delivery
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, files, and documentation
• Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages
• Help resolve invoice discrepancies and coordinate with accounting as needed
• Assist in sourcing new vendors and gathering pricing quotes
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing procedures and quality standards
