About The Position

Looking for Bilingual that will be responsible for leading the Purchasing activities for sourcing, supplier selection and order placement. USMCA management. Essential Functions Corporate: Adheres to the Hyundai Transys Georgia Powertrain (HTGP) and procedures Learns, demonstrates and upholds HTGP Core Values Complies with all HTGP Certification standards; Management System (IATF16949), Environmental ISO 14001/ VDA6.3 and Health and Safety OHSAS 18001 policies and procedures Treats all HTGP team members with respect and professional courtesy Always strives to maintain a positive work environment Manages the department budget efficiently as per the approved annual budget Performs additional assignments / duties as required by management EHS: Adheres to all safety policies and procedures Complies with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environment Consistently meets company safety goals Technical: Monitors and troubleshoots U.S. Custom tariff issues and cooperate with Hyundai Transys to match HTS code and Certification of Origin. Manages USMCA Originating Value Affidavit Certificate every month and current Tariffs. Source and procure materials, equipment and services that meet specifications and schedules in the most cost-effective manner, considering price, schedule and delivery as well as past supplier performance and quality. Using the Vaatz System to Review and analyzes purchase requisitions, investigate and develop sources of supplies, prepares RFQ and review and evaluate quotes. Issue purchase orders in accordance with the company policies and procedures. Expedite orders as required Negotiate pricing with Vendors. Select vendors by considering price, schedule and delivery as well as past supplier performance. Negotiate terms and conditions including material price with vendors for New Projects Write the contract by Purchase Order by Incoterms, Payment terms, Delivery date, FAC date and Bond coverage date. Communicate with all group leaders and team members concerning new projects. Maintain the ACE portal for Customs Clearance. Additional duties as assigned. Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in purchasing related experience (Automotive industry preferred)
  • Knowledge of Purchasing guidelines and programs
  • Knowledge of U.S. Custom regulations and recommendations
  • Experience with Purchasing systems
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with little direction
  • Excellent oral communication and listening skills
