About The Position

The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, parts, and services necessary to support Bad Boy Tractors’ production and operations. This role ensures that suppliers provide quality products at competitive prices, delivered on time, to meet business objectives and customer demand.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); ERP/MRP system experience preferred.
  • Ability to analyze data, track metrics, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Source and purchase materials, components, and services for tractor production and operations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with vendors to optimize cost savings.
  • Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and quality, addressing issues as needed.
  • Review purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and inventory control to forecast material needs and prevent shortages.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier data in the ERP system.
  • Assist with resolving invoice discrepancies and coordinating with Accounts Payable.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for supply chain improvements and cost reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all purchasing activities.
