We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing & Receiving Specialist to manage procurement activities and ensure accurate receiving and inventory control. This role is critical to maintaining efficient operations and supporting our supply chain.
Source and purchase materials, supplies, and services at competitive prices.
Negotiate vendor contracts and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Prepare and process purchase orders in compliance with company policies.
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
Record and maintain accurate inventory data in ERP systems.
Report discrepancies, damaged goods, and coordinate returns.
Organize storage areas and ensure proper material handling.
Collaborate with internal teams to forecast inventory needs.
Coordinate with project management, as needed, to handle outbound shipping using carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and other freight services.
High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
2+ years of experience in purchasing, receiving, or inventory management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems. Experience with SAP strongly preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in warehouse conditions.
Experience with shipping software and carrier platforms (UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager) is a plus.
