About The Position

The Purchasing & Pricing Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring both pricing accuracy and effective purchasing for Joseph’s Classic Market locations. This role is evenly divided between maintaining accurate product and pricing data within the POS system and managing purchasing activities to support store operations. The coordinator works closely with Vendors, Merchandising, and Store teams to ensure our pricing integrity, cost efficiency, and product availability are consistently upheld. This role is located on-site at our Palm Beach Gardens corporate office.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, retail pricing, or inventory management (grocery/food industry preferred).
  • Experience with POS systems and Microsoft Excel; Catapult/ECRS experience a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain, vendor negotiation, and item file maintenance.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in both purchasing and pricing tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and maintain accurate pricing, UPCs, product descriptions, SKUs, costs, vendor information, and new product data in POS and inventory systems.
  • Conduct regular audits to confirm system pricing matches vendor invoices and approved pricing lists; resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Communicate pricing updates clearly to store managers and department leads.
  • Create, review, approve, and submit purchase orders (POs), ensuring deadlines, order minimums, replenishment needs, and budget compliance are met.
  • Partner with Receivers and Vendors to resolve shortages, mis-picks, returns, and product quality concerns.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including addressing inquiries, quality issues, and new product requests.
  • Work closely with Merchandising and Store teams to align on pricing, product availability, and inventory needs.
  • Serve as a point of contact for cross-departmental inquiries regarding pricing or purchasing.
  • Provide support to store teams by addressing questions related to pricing, purchasing, or product information.
