About The Position

The Intern will be working with the Purchasing and Planning teams on a
combination of tactical purchasing assignments, planning/scheduling assignments,
and strategic sourcing projects. Additionally, the intern will work closely with
the team to assist with corporate objectives identified for 2026 completion.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or master’s in supply chain, business, or related field.
• GPA – 3.0 or higher.
• Strong Math and data analytical skills
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Detail Oriented, Good planning, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.

Nice To Haves

• ERP system knowledge

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Purchasing and Planning teams to provide support for tactical purchasing and planning responsibilities as needed.
• Perform planning / scheduling / capacity activities related to a paint subcontractor.
• Under the guidance of a mentor, research and recommend alternative suppliers for key parts/commodities that are currently single-sourced or for the purpose of identifying cost savings.
• Research and provide information to the organization regarding alternative suppliers and market insights for the assigned parts/commodities, to assist stakeholder community in evaluating sourcing opportunities.
• Other responsibilities relevant to specific projects may be assigned.
• Interact with vendors to collect data, negotiate prices and problem solve discrepancies.
