About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement activities and ensure that all purchasing processes run smoothly. As a Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing team, developing and implementing purchasing strategies, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, product development, marketing, and the procurement process. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, the ability to work closely with various departments, including production, logistics, and finance, and people management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management, materials management, and inventory management.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize procurement processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in supply chain management or purchasing.
  • Experience in cost reduction and supply management.
  • Experience in supplier management and purchase orders.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying products, services and equipment to be purchased
  • Verifying the key suppliers for each procurement
  • Monitoring and forecasting inventory, determining purchasing needs and identifying costs
  • Overseeing daily activities of the purchasing department, including delegating tasks and supervising the team.
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies
  • Establishing quality control and ensuring that bought stock meets company standards
  • Managing procurement budget and preparing cost estimates
  • Review and analyze processes to reduce overall departmental costs
  • Review and analyze processes to reduce slow moving items and associated costs.
  • Compiling and maintaining purchase records, supplier databases and procurement contracts
  • Other duties as assigned
