Due to a retirement, we are looking for a new industrial product manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience in Supply Chain, in a Technical Field preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Data Analysis and Numerical Reasoning
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day purchasing activities for assigned product lines to ensure consistent product availability and customer service levels.
  • Execute best buying practices, including order optimization, economic order quantities, lead time management and freight efficiency.
  • Monitor and improve supplier performance related to fill rates, lead times, on time delivery and order accuracy.
  • Collaborate with inventory planning, operations and sales teams to balance service level targets with inventory investment.
  • Analyze demand trends, inventory turns and forecasting accurate to support effective replenishment decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with negotiated pricing, terms, rebates and purchasing agreements.
  • Address supply disruptions, backorders, and allocation issues proactively to minimize customer impact.
  • Drive continuous improvement in purchasing process, systems utilization, and data accuracy.
  • Support product lifecycle activities including introductions, transitions, and rationalization.
  • Prepare and report key purchasing supplier performance metrics.
  • Be familiar with all supplier pricing, build and inventory programs to ensure information is communicated to inside and outside sales.
  • Stay current with product knowledge, supplier product mix and commercial changes.
  • Assist with the qualification of new suppliers, verifying potential duplication or conflict with existing suppliers.
  • Assist with managing content for master work orders | Berendsen BOMs, ensuring all required documentation is provided to Integration Centers, working with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy of BOMs.
  • Provide support in BOM process to ensure clear instruction is provided to Integration Centers.
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance for supplier commercial topics when additional support is needed by Sales.
  • Provide inside and outside sales with pricing, delivery and expediting, options when needed.
  • Ensure system accuracy.
  • Review available inventory to determine the most economical build to meet customer demand.
  • Follow management-established guidelines, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with customer demand by collaborating with Procurement and applying best practices in purchasing, build planning, conversions, and sourcing.
  • Assist with managing the review, implementation and deactivation of build programs.
  • Manage buyers with supplier return initiatives and the consolidation of non-strategic physical, engineered products.
