The Purchasing Manager is responsible for the effective management, control, and development of the supply-chain, including the procurement of materials and services, negotiating cost reductions, and implementing contracts with suppliers. This role involves coordinating cost reduction opportunities and improvements within the supply chain, reviewing best-in-class technology, and exploring alternative supply options. The manager will define sourcing strategies to ensure continuity of material supply to meet production plans and implement effective logistics models with suppliers to service internal and external customer requirements optimally. The Purchasing Manager will lead a team of buyers and logistics, inventory, and materials coordinators to achieve strategic initiatives for Purchasing and/or the Business, and will actively participate in the solicitation, evaluation, and negotiation of material and/or service agreements.
