Position Summary: This position is responsible for coordinating and managing MFCP Inc.’s inventory control system, and corporate purchasing staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written & oral communication and strong relationship building skills required.
  • Detail oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong computer skills including use of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook), with a willingness to learn new software programs.
  • Must be a good listener with above average reasoning ability and make minimal mistakes.
  • Must be a good learner whom can assimilate product knowledge and skills as they are presented.
  • Provide superior customer service and support company goals.
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people and personalities.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • As MFCP is a small employer and employees work in a collaborative team environment, employee must be physically present in the office to perform his/her job functions .
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record, in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage corporate purchasing staff responsible for purchase order creation, change orders, as well as resolving vendor purchasing issues.
  • Hire and manage, coach, mentor, train, and support all purchasing staff.
  • Monitor inventory levels to minimize quantities on hand and maximize inventory turns / inventory reduction.
  • Analyze demand patterns, trends and seasonality to establish optimal inventory and customer service levels.
  • Collect and create accurate demand forecasts and work with vendors and internal departments to ensure that inventory meets customer demand.
  • Key Account inventory planning to support all locations for key VMI accounts.
  • Managing cycle count process and reports to ensure that all locations are meeting their cycle count goals.
  • Manage allocated inventory reports to measure total allocated inventory and history in each location.
  • Monitor the status of our internal processes that directly affect our inventory levels, and work with our locations to manage these areas of concern.
  • Maintain and distribute appropriate monthly inventory and operational reports, dashboards, and etc. as required
  • Provide superior customer service and support company goals.
