About The Position

The Purchasing Manager is a key member of the Supply Chain team, responsible for overseeing sourcing, procurement, and supplier relationship management. This role develops and implements effective procurement strategies, negotiates favorable terms with suppliers, and ensures the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. By optimizing costs and maintaining quality standards, the Purchasing Manager supports overall supply chain efficiency while managing procurement procedures such as RFPs/RFQs, bidding processes, purchase orders, requisitions, and invoicing to ensure smooth and compliant operations. This role also requires the ability to seamlessly integrate and thrive in multicultural and diverse work environments, a proven ability to develop and implement KPIs, and a strong goal orientation with a focused approach to meeting project deadlines and achieving business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field—or equivalent leadership experience in Sales, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within sales, purchasing, or procurement.
  • Certified Professional Purchasing Manager (CPPM) or equivalent certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Owns, designs, and revises Purchasing KPIs to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Develops and implements procurement strategies that align with organizational goals, ensuring cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
  • Conducts comprehensive market research to identify and evaluate potential suppliers for both services and MRO components, assessing capabilities and market conditions.
  • Stays informed about industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact procurement decisions, ensuring adaptability and compliance.
  • Manages and maintains supplier records in the ERP system, identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers based on quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
  • Oversees and enhances the Purchasing Team's internal customer service quality and perception, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Negotiates contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers, leveraging purchasing power and partnerships to secure favorable agreements.
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure strategic collaboration and long-term value creation.
  • Administers purchasing procedures, including the preparation and issuance of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs).
  • Leads the bid evaluation process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement policies are upheld while prioritizing the company's best interests.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders across production, inventory, and quality control teams to understand and address procurement needs effectively.
  • Oversees the requisition process, ensuring accuracy and timely approval of purchase orders.
  • Manages the purchase order lifecycle, tracking and expediting orders as necessary to optimize workflow efficiency.
  • Administers the invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and prompt payment while resolving discrepancies effectively.
  • Identifies potential supply chain risks and develops strategic mitigation plans to ensure operational resilience.
  • Ensures strict compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical procurement practices.
  • Develops and manages the procurement budget, tracking expenses and ensuring alignment with financial guidelines.
  • Maintains accurate records of purchases, contracts, negotiations, and procurement activities, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Generates regular reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier metrics for management review.
  • Handles additional projects and assignments as business needs evolve.
