About The Position
Leads purchasing team to deliver outstanding levels of performance by deploying exceptional leadership skills, talent acquisition/retention, continuous coaching and professional development of team members. Ensures timely execution of purchase orders and management of deliveries. Defines the approach and plan to deploy digital procurement tools to ensure a high level of effectiveness and efficiency across the high volume of transactions and performs critical tactical purchase order processing and implementing improvement plans; uses procurement tools and systems to create operational efficiency and visibility across the enterprise; identifies and pursues ad hoc opportunities to reduce product/service costs. Partners with Sourcing to drive improvements in strategy and the pipeline of savings opportunities by utilizing a deep understanding of the commodities they support.
