About The Position

The Purchasing Manager Administrator for GPS (Government & Public Services) is responsible for providing support for contract and finance administration duties aligned with the population of systems with key contractual information. This role requires a working knowledge of government or commercial purchasing principles and involves acting as an IT procurement Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Government and Public Services Practice. The position reports to the Procurement Manager within the GPS Contracts & Procurement organization and is critical in driving business strategy and results. The role includes overseeing the procurement of software, hardware, and other commodities, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with Deloitte's purchasing policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 8 years of purchasing experience.
  • Experience purchasing hardware and software or SaaS solutions.
  • Active TS/SCI or TS CI Poly required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

  • Deltek Costpoint experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating and leveraging value-added reseller agreements.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an IT procurement SME for the Government and Public Services Practice.
  • Advise client delivery teams on appropriate procurement-related strategy.
  • Execute procurement activities for software, hardware, and other commodities.
  • Review software and reseller terms and conditions to identify and mitigate negotiation risks.
  • Oversee critical and complex competitive bidding processes.
  • Conduct routine analyses, including price/cost analysis.
  • Provide proposal support to GPS Deloitte Proposal Teams.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process of goods-based commodities.
  • Prepare purchase order packages in compliance with Deloitte's policies.
  • Strategically manage supplier relationships and support supplier diversity programs.
  • Interact professionally with an emphasis on customer-oriented services.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
