Position Summary: The Purchasing Lead will support MAS-HVAC manufacturing operations by managing procurement activities for engineered components. This role ensures timely and accurate purchasing of materials to meet production schedules and customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferably in Supply Chain/Operations/Engineering)
  • 5+ years of experience in a purchasing or planning role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of lead times, material planning, and vendor management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and consistently take initiative
  • Analytical mindset; attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Autonomous mindset

Responsibilities

  • Issue purchase orders to approved vendors once engineering designs are finalized.
  • Establish and communicate vendor order due dates based on production timelines.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure on-time delivery of components.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and planning teams to align material availability with build schedules.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and update ERP systems as required.
  • Identify and resolve supply issues proactively to minimize production delays.
