Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech Job Description: Johnson & Johnson MedTech is recruiting for a Purchasing & Inventory Specialist, located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Job Summary: The Purchasing & Inventory Specialist maintains and optimizes the flow of materials for the Energy Service Solutions organization. This role is critical to ensure timely replenishment of inventory to support the Cincinnati & International J&J MedTech service centers. This role spans the entire material lifecycle: obtaining a quote, purchase order issuance, logistics, inventory stocking, and order processing for final use.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of procurement, material planning, forecasting, & inventory management experience
  • Experience with Ariba, Salesforce, or ERP systems
  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving and continuous improvement
  • Experience with capital equipment servicing, manufacturing, supply chain, or logistics
  • Intermediate excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc)

Responsibilities

  • Issues purchase orders for materials, finished goods & spare parts; ensuring product is ordered through approved suppliers updating the approved supplier list (ASL), as needed
  • Collaborates with Cincinnati & international service teams to forecast spare part requirements & communicates forecasts to external suppliers to optimize inventory levels
  • Monitors inventory levels daily, leads quarterly inventory counts, and acts as the subject matter expert for inventory inquiries & reporting
  • Maintains spare parts in the service database by resolving discrepancies, creating & updating critical part's information (costs, countries of origin, etc.)
  • Acts as the liaison for receiving discrepancies between internal & external partners
  • Process spare part orders in the Service Database, including all international imports and exports
  • Assists with supplier nonconformances and obtains return material authorizations for nonconforming materials
  • Assists physically with spare parts and materials receiving as needed
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
  • Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed
