Purchasing & Inventory Control Specialist
About The Position
Lunds & Byerlys Mitchell Road is currently hiring for a self-directed and outgoing Purchasing & Inventory Control Specialist ! This position works a full-time schedule and earns a competitive wage of $23.00-$30.00/hr. We operate 24 hours/day and 365 days/year . For this position we are looking for someone with availability around the hours of 7:00am-4:00pm. This role works primarily Monday-Friday, with one Saturday shift a month. Requirements
- Education: Associate's degree in business or logistics or equivalent experience
- Experience: One or more years' experience in a purchasing role supporting a manufacturing facility

Responsibilities
- Manage inventory to ensure product availability for internal and external customers
- Conduct regular inventory audits and maintain inventory within established guidelines
- Oversee the inventory process, including cycle counts, adjustments, and month-end reconciliation
- Control and reduce shrink through effective inventory management
- Assist in negotiating buying contracts to secure the lowest cost of goods
- Source suppliers, establish order quantities, and manage shipping arrangements
- Ensure compliance with buying contracts and monitor pricing shifts
- Maintain supplier databases, track inventory, and assess internal client needs
