About The Position

Lunds & Byerlys Mitchell Road is currently hiring for a self-directed and outgoing Purchasing & Inventory Control Specialist ! This position works a full-time schedule and earns a competitive wage of $23.00-$30.00/hr. We operate 24 hours/day and 365 days/year . For this position we are looking for someone with availability around the hours of 7:00am-4:00pm. This role works primarily Monday-Friday, with one Saturday shift a month. Requirements

  • Education: Associate's degree in business or logistics or equivalent experience
  • Experience: One or more years' experience in a purchasing role supporting a manufacturing facility
  • Team player - steps in to assist when and where as needed

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory to ensure product availability for internal and external customers
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and maintain inventory within established guidelines
  • Oversee the inventory process, including cycle counts, adjustments, and month-end reconciliation
  • Control and reduce shrink through effective inventory management
  • Assist in negotiating buying contracts to secure the lowest cost of goods
  • Source suppliers, establish order quantities, and manage shipping arrangements
  • Ensure compliance with buying contracts and monitor pricing shifts
  • Maintain supplier databases, track inventory, and assess internal client needs
