About The Position

Clow Valve Company, a division of McWane Corporation, is a leading manufacturer of water valves and fire hydrants with a history dating back to 1909. The company manufactures 2” through 48” diameter Resilient Seated valves and both dry and wet barrel fire hydrants. Their Machine Shop and Metal Casting Facility utilize state-of-the-art technology, with the Machine Shop being ISO 9000 certified since 2002 and the Foundry recognized as a Voluntary Protection Program Merit Site by OSHA. Clow Valve is seeking a Summer Purchasing Intern.

Requirements

• Light lifting/carrying 0-10 pounds
• Use of fingers required
• Maximum sitting required (8 hours/day)
• High School diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Digitally scan purchasing reports and related documents into the company’s electronic system, ensuring clear, high-quality images.
• Sort and categorize physical documents for scanning.
• Label and organize scanned files in the electronic system according to predefined naming conventions and folder structures.
• Review scanned documents for completeness and legibility.
• Re-scan or flag any problematic files to ensure accuracy.
• Complete scanning tasks within assigned timeframes, ensuring a steady workflow and meeting daily or weekly scanning goals.
• Use scanning equipment and troubleshoot minor issues; escalate technical problems as needed.
• Follow company guidelines for handling sensitive or confidential documents during the scanning and organization process.
