About The Position

These positions are primarily for educational or religious purposes and should be used for providing valuable educational and training experiences for the Intern. It is to give the Intern an opportunity to see how principles and practices learned in their educational institutions are applied in an actual work setting. Under general supervision, the Intern performs work as assigned by the department. These positions are located at the Church Office Building in Salt Lake City, Utah, other deployed locations in the Salt Lake City area, and the Riverton Office Building in Riverton, Utah. The intern must be able to work on-site at the office, as directed by the respective team. There is some flexibility to work around the intern's class schedule. This is a 12-month internship. Hours worked must be between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Hours worked will not exceed 20 hours per week. This internship position represents a unique and exciting opportunity to work with highly skilled professionals, receive great pay, and contribute to the Lord's work in a meaningful way. Some of the responsibilities of the intern may include vendor relationship development and management, contract negotiation and completion of contracts for the acquisition of services, operational tasks, data analytics and reporting. Additional duties will vary based on the team assignment. Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.

Nice To Haves

Background in finance, accounting, law, supply chain, industrial engineering or a field related to this work is desired
Confident in using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerBI, OneNote, OneDrive, Teams)
Proven organizational skills, detail oriented
Willingness and ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and work with minimal supervision
Ability to interact well in a team environment
Excellent understanding and ability to communicate in English

Responsibilities

Assist with purchasing and supply chain activities.
Perform data entry, analysis, and generate reports.
Support contract documentation and compliance processes.
Collaborate with team members on assigned projects.
Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
