Through engaging, real-world projects and collaboration with peers and mentors, you’ll gain essential skills and insights in the flavor/fragrance industry. The PURCHASING INTERN will work closely with purchasing department, team of 4 people. Purchasing team is responsible for acquiring raw materials needed for production of fragrance. This team works closely with Production Planning, Finance, Business Intelligence, Quality Control, Regulatory and Logistics teams.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Individuals should have completed a minimum of their first semester of college.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the local RFQ process ensuring competitive supplier bids and alignment with internal requirements, from launch to supplier identification and final recommendation
  • Evaluate delivered pricing for purchases from affiliates, BSL and MASA
  • Build GPMS forecast prices for all locally purchased items.
  • Update and Maintain Master Data for raw materials, while supporting with OPTIMA as needed.
  • Lead risk management to effectively address supply challenges; identify and execute purchasing strategy to mitigate purchase cost variances.
  • Capable of developing effective working relationships to support stakeholders
