About The Position

The Purchasing & Culinary Operations Manager bridges the culinary, procurement, and operational functions of Huse Culinary to ensure all brands deliver the highest-quality offerings with cost-efficiency and consistency. This role oversees cost analysis, vendor negotiations, inventory systems, small wares, and culinary audits while supporting training programs and new restaurant openings. It plays an integral role in driving operational excellence, supporting our chefs, and enhancing the overall guest experience across all locations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, culinary operations, or restaurant management
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and cost- controlled initiatives in a multi- unit environment
  • Proficiency in restaurant inventory and procurement software systems

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, supply chain, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director of Culinary Operations to review, select, and approve vendors that meet company standards for quality, value, and sustainability
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and proactively communicate any performance or product issues to leadership for review
  • Review labor performance reports to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improved efficiency.
  • Anticipate volume surges or dips and recommend proactive scheduling adjustments to maintain service standards while controlling costs
  • Monitor and report on food and N/A Beverages costs, providing actionable insights to improve profitability.
  • Manage the selection, purchasing, and lifecycle replacement of smallware and disposable products
  • Support the development and rollout of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that promote consistency and excellence across all kitchens
  • Partner with the VP of Culture and Learning to coordinate schedules, training modules, and mentorship opportunities within the SCIT program
