About The Position

Marketing Alliance Samples is seeking a dedicated Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in Dalton, GA. This position will be responsible for collaborating with the customer service team to review and post billing packets, collaborating with the operations team from MAS and Sample Facility with researching and purchasing material and supplies, as well as greet, assist, and provide direction and information to clients, visitors, and other guests of the facility.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • English/Spanish bilingual skills a plus

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Comfortable with occasional walking, stooping, bending, pushing/pulling (usually under 50lbs)
  • Works with minimal supervision.
  • Issues and concerns need to be communicated to General Manager.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Previous experience in related field

Responsibilities

  • Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items.
  • Performs administrative and clerical support tasks.
  • Performs basic filing and recordkeeping.
  • Posts the daily schedule for MAS production.
  • Issues PO for materials and supplies
  • Reviews and puts together the billing packets.
  • Researches vendors and collects prices, specifications, and other data related to goods and services.
  • Invoices materials and supplies
  • Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
  • Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.
  • Greets clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person’s visit and directs or escorts him or her to the appropriate location.
  • Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to staff; takes messages and schedules appointments.
  • Performs other duties.
