Under general direction, you will maintain accurate data, and foster strong supplier relations. Your responsibilities include executing timely, independent decisions, optimizing profit, and supporting the sales team.

Requirements

  • 1 – 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, or equivalent military or practical experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Adobe/Nitro Pro, Explorer, and Inventory software.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.
  • Intermediate analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems.
  • Understanding of material flow and requirements planning (MRP) concepts, including order points, lead-time, and safety stock.
  • Knowledge of business processes and procedures related to procurement.
  • Ability and desire to be a self-starter, taking initiative in daily tasks and responsibilities.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues and provide innovative solutions.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment and make independent decisions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, both in person and over the telephone.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Infor Distribution SX is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Adobe/Nitro Pro, Explorer, and Inventory software.

Responsibilities

  • Procure goods and services, managing moderate financial commitments and technical complexities.
  • Develop an understanding of Buyer Order Control parameters to ensure accurate data.
  • Employ value analysis techniques to ensure the lowest Total Cost of Ownership.
  • Manage supplier relations and resolve open issues to ensure smooth procurement processes.
  • Execute timely, independent decisions based on best practices and customer requirements.
  • Analyze and adjust purchase orders to optimize profit and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Support the sales team with product information, purchase orders, vendor terms, delivery, and other related requests.
  • Maintain accurate pricing and communicate changes in Infor Distribution SX.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain necessary records related to procurement activities.
