About The Position

Sweet Group of New York is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join our 114-year-old New York-based general contracting and construction management firm. Sweet provides the full spectrum of design-build, infrastructure, disaster response, and health facility services. Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing/subcontractor procurement
Able to read and understand construction drawings
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to understand implied scope that is not listed in construction documents
Excellent data management skills
Must be adaptable and be able to solve problems
Must be able to work in a team
Must be transparent with the team in all areas of solicitation, leveling, and buys
Must work full-time in the NYC Office
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

City, State or Federal contract management a plus
Experience with complex project contracts and experience with management of multi-million-dollar projects a plus

Responsibilities

Support all subcontractor and subconsultant purchasing needs for multiple projects
Work with assigned project managers and designated staff through the subcontractor approval process
Develop scopes of works and leveling sheets for subcontractors
Draft subcontractor agreements
Liaise with legal division to review and finalize subcontract documents prior to subcontract execution
Support Contracts Manager as needed on any requirements for post-award documentation related to subcontractor purchasing
Experience with successful sourcing of construction materials from different vendors
Support leadership with various daily task execution
