About The Position

The Purchasing Office Administrator will support the administrative functions of our office. This role is perfect for people who are detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in gaining hands-on experience in a construction company setting. The ideal candidate will assist with various clerical tasks, providing essential support to ensure smooth office operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an administrative or office assistant role
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Daily tracking orders, processing purchase requests, and maintaining supplier records
  • Weekly provide report to all LOB and review open purchase orders, set LOB meetings to collaborate on close out
  • Daily running to various locations on site in Lunenburg for receiving and distributing
  • Running for parts / supplies on as need basis
  • Supporting the safety administrator by organizing safety training materials, maintaining safety records, and assisting with safety audits
  • Data entry and updating records accurately
  • Preparing and distributing communications, such as memos and emails
  • Maintaining office supplies and ensuring a tidy workspace
  • Helping to prepare reports and presentations for various departments
  • Scale operations cross train: Training will be conducted three times a week for two hours per session with the scale operator to ensure adequate understanding of processes required to cover vacation periods
  • Coordinating with team members to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Assisting in organizing company events and meetings
  • Performing all other duties as assigned
