About The Position

As a Team Member of the Purchasing and Warehouse team, the Purchasing Clerk is a CRCR Ambassador and takes personal ownership to ensure all of their actions are in the best interest of the business. The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for compiling requests for materials, preparing purchase orders, keeping track of purchases and supplies, and handling inquiries about orders while maintaining a high-level confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate).
  • 1+ years of experience working in an office atmosphere.
  • Knowledge of Accounting and Purchasing practices, including procedures and applications.
  • Understanding of Purchasing systems.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient data entry ability.
  • Strong listening and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Must be able to work independently and maintain a high level of performance.
  • Must be able to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining business standards.
  • Demonstrates a flock mentality, focused on teamwork and collaboration with others.
  • Provides exceptional service to internal and external Guests while leveraging the knowledge of the position and the business, ensuring a clucktastic experience for all.
  • Stays engaged and motivated with the business, department, and all Team Members at all levels while encouraging growth and development of self and others.

  • 1+ years of Accounting, Purchasing, and inventory management software experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain purchasing information by collating, calculating, and entering data.
  • Resolve purchasing discrepancies and answer any purchasing queries.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and business policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Research product and service options, seeking the best quality and pricing practices (quality compliance).
  • Assist in purchase planning optimization by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing process trends.
  • Stay up to date with industry standards by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Maintain documentation for procedures, processes, and inventory management.
  • Bulk purchasing.
  • Identify systemic issues early and propose solutions.
  • Reconcile purchasing accounts, reviewing vendor invoices, and reconciling with approved purchase orders.
  • Maintaining records on current inventory control for Food and Beverage, Gift Shop, and Bingo.
  • Assisting Team Members as necessary, including auditing and accounting month-end closings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
