JOB OVERVIEW Responsible to process all purchase requisitions, works closely with all Departments involved to ensure accuracy on all orders and timeliness of Purchase Orders

Responsibilities

  • Assist in Inventory as directed by Purchasing Supervisor or Purchasing Director.
  • Receiving of Purchase Orders into Birch Street.
  • Organize and review Purchase Orders for all Departments related.
  • Record all deliveries received.
  • Handle Discrepancies/Return Goods.
  • Receive: Items, Beverages, Food Products, Dry Goods, Chemicals, Engineering Products and Major Equipment.
  • Generate Purchase Orders, Inventory management and distribution for assigned categories.
  • Continuously seeks and shares opportunities to enhance applicable knowledge within general or specific purchasing applications as to improve the personal and departmental operational effectiveness with respect to the company’s benefit.
  • Addresses and resolves issues associated with satisfying and fulfilling purchase requests in assigned areas of products, services, or specific departments or escalates to superior when appropriate or unreasonable.
  • Works with requesting departments to assist in specification development, which may include shared research responsibilities.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended and keep in stock when don’t need to use them to prevent loss.
  • Maintain positive guest and resident relations at all times.
  • Resolve guest and resident complaints, ensuring guest and resident satisfaction.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of property management system and manual procedures.
  • Set up and organize work station with designated supplies, forms and resource materials; report shortages to supervisor.
  • Maintain a proactive, solutions-oriented, helpful attitude towards colleagues and vendors.
