About The Position

The Purchasing Associate supports the Label Department team in analyzing, purchasing, and managing packaging inventories. This role ensures timely availability of packaging at competitive costs while maintaing inventory levels and supplier relationships. This position also supports the Graphic Designers in tasks related to proofreading, marketing, and collaboration of designs.

Requirements

• Possess the ability to communicate effectively and with outstanding professionalism with both internal and external teams
• Must be self-motivated with the continued desire to learn and grow
• Must have organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
• Ability to deconstruct difficult and complex situations and bring the right people together to find solutions
• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Business or a related field is desired, however, will consider relevant years of experience in lieu of education
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Adobe Acrobat is required

Nice To Haves

• Intermediate knowledge of both Mac and PC operating systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and issue POs within an ERP system and follow them through until delivery.
• Monitor stock levels and safety stocks to ensure the correct inventory is available when needed.
• Communicate effectively across all departments on product timing and arrivals.
• Build, maintain, and manage supplier relationships in a professional and responsible manner.
• Track supplier performance and resolve delivery delays and invoice discrepancies.
• Collaborate cross functionally to align on forecasting and material needs.
• Proofread packaging electronically and physically.
• Assist with other label department initiatives as needed or required.
