About The Position

As a Purchasing Assistant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining operational systems and supporting purchasing functions for multiple divisions. From managing take-offs and budgets to collaborating with vendors and internal teams, your work will directly impact the success of our homebuilding projects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or higher a plus!)
  • 2+ years of office experience, preferably in purchasing or construction.
  • Strong Excel and Word skills; JDE experience is a bonus.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
  • A numbers-driven mindset with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update plan and option take-offs for assigned divisions.
  • Create accurate budgets aligned with projected start dates.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly start packages for field and office teams.
  • Collaborate with estimating and purchasing teams to resolve budget discrepancies.
  • Manage supplier/trade partner pricing using Excel and JDE.
  • Generate cost reports and troubleshoot purchase order issues.
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies.
