The Purchasing and Materials Manager will oversee purchasing, warehouse, and material control operations to implement procedures, manage inventory, coordinate procurement activities, and lead departmental staff. This position is responsible for ensuring timely acquisition of materials, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and driving process improvements across purchasing and logistics functions. Manage purchasing activities to ensure timely acquisition of materials for production Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors Research and resolve recurring parts and supply issues Oversee quality control of incoming materials and products Utilize Epicor and other organizational tools with proper execution Train, coach, motivate, and lead departmental staff Coordinate with warehouse and material control teams to maintain efficient operations Lead streamlining projects to improve procurement and inventory flow Troubleshoot and resolve operational difficulties related to purchasing and materials Conduct performance evaluations for team members Create and manage requisitions for materials required for operations Maintain optimal inventory levels and manage overstock materials Oversee consistent cycle counts and inventory audits Ensure compliance with all safety and company policy regulations Maintain clean and orderly work areas within department Promote fair and respectful treatment of all team members in accordance with company policies and laws Demonstrate commitment to scheduled work hours and team leadership This is not intended to be a comprehensive list of job duties.
