About The Position

Great Plains Manufacturing is seeking a Purchasing Analyst to join our growing team. This is an on-site position based from our Corporate Office in Salina, KS. This role typically works Monday through Thursday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, finance or business administration
• Analytical mind and a keen business sense
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Motivated self-starter with the ability to work with minimal oversight
• Detail oriented and critical thinker

Nice To Haves

• Procurement experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data to support decision making
• Implement new data analysis methodologies
• Develop and maintain professional knowledge regarding market drivers, market trends, and economic forecasts
• Provide insightful, timely and accurate procurement category analysis
• Work directly with management on system and process improvements
• Develop and maintain supplier KPIs
• Create content such as presentation slides, reports and process documentation
• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
