About The Position

Kamran Culinex, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to join our procurement team. The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and materials. This role plays a key part in maintaining supply chain efficiency and supporting operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in [insert relevant industry, e.g., foodservice, manufacturing, etc.].
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software (e.g., ERP systems).
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with NetSuite.
• Certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CPP, CPSM) is a plus.
• Familiarity with sustainability or cost-saving procurement strategies.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize costs and maintain quality standards.
• Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse or operations teams to prevent stock shortages or overages.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery; resolve any supply issues or discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, vendor performance, and inventory.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and specifications.
• Stay informed on market trends, pricing, and new products to support strategic sourcing decisions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal procurement policies.
