About The Position

This position is responsible for driving the purchase order process between our internal teams and designated material supplies while maintaining a collaborative relationship and ensuring all internal parties are able to successfully service our customers.

Requirements

Proven communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) and ability to establish relationships and collaborate among other teams
Ability to quickly learn, detailed oriented with an ability to prioritize
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Adobe/Nitro file creation and management
Manage and organize time, information and resources effectively using SharePoint and Kira to meet deadlines and respond to requests on a timely basis
Valid driver's license - required
Proficiency in English required
2 years of previous experience in a similar role required

Nice To Haves

Experience with Purchasing, Supply Chain or a related field is highly desired
Bi-Lingual - Spanish or Portuguese is a plus

Responsibilities

Enter and maintain purchase orders in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy in pricing, quantity, and delivery dates.
Monitor and update purchase order ETAs, quantities, and supplier acknowledgments to minimize invoice and fulfillment discrepancies.
Manage back-to-back and inventory stock orders.
Perform daily open PO report reviews and communicate updates with internal stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to resolve issues and enhance performance.
Track and trace railcars and direct shipments, preventing delays and managing detention/demurrage.
Serve as the primary liaison for inbound paperwork and coordination with warehouses and customs brokers.
Support intercompany transactions and confirm lot-level accuracy for timely sales invoicing.
Act as the primary back-up for assigned buyers and assist with jobbing requests or escalations as needed.
Provide support to other purchasing team members during peak workload or absences.
Actively participate in daily team meetings focused on KPI tracking and process improvements.
