The Purchasing Agent at CITGO's Lemont Refinery Support Center plays a crucial role in providing procurement support in accordance with company and corporate procedures. This position involves placing purchase orders, issuing requests for quotes, and negotiating for lower prices with reputable suppliers. The Purchasing Agent is responsible for fulfilling all other duties required for the everyday operation of the Procurement department. Key responsibilities include establishing outline agreements and one-time contracts with suppliers and contractors, assisting customers with issues related to material and service sourcing, providing turnaround support to the Maintenance department, expediting purchase orders, and meeting with supplier and contractor personnel on a weekly basis. This is an on-site position located in Downers Grove, IL.
