About The Position

The Purchasing Agent/Parts position at Brownell Boat Trailers involves managing inventory, purchasing parts, and assisting customers with their inquiries. Requirements

  • Experience with Word and Excel.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Manufacturing.
  • Ability to understand the Bill of Materials concept and utilize it in QuickBooks.
  • Necessary purchasing experience.
  • Experience with shipping small packages and LTL freight.
  • Ability to work alone and unsupervised.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Some accounting background required.
  • Ability to perform some heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory on shelves and in QuickBooks.
  • Keep quantities in stock.
  • Create purchase orders and submit them to vendors.
  • Receive products against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Enter receiving and bills into inventory.
  • Research new and existing parts and products for best prices.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with vendors and customers.
  • Assist customers with parts and trailer questions.
  • Enter sales orders and invoices for customers for parts and products.
  • Pull, pack, and ship products to customers.
  • Pull parts for walk-in customers.
  • Process credit card sales.
  • Conduct yearly inventory.
  • Maintain non-inventory supplies.
  • Keep the parts room neat, clean, and orderly.
