The Purchasing Agent / Buyer I is responsible for coordinating the procurement of materials, parts, and supplies needed to support production and operations. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
1–3 years of purchasing, supply chain, or manufacturing experience preferred
Strong computer skills and familiarity with business systems
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook
ERP system experience preferred
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Review inventory usage and reorder points using ERP reports
Create and manage purchase orders for raw materials and components
Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, and order requirements
Request and review vendor quotes for new and existing materials
Track orders and follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery
Expedite late orders and communicate updates to internal teams
Identify and evaluate alternative suppliers when needed
Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams regarding product specifications and material changes
Review engineering change orders related to materials and parts
Manage purchasing of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) supplies
