About The Position

You’re not just a supply chain professional - you’re a strategic leader who knows how to build efficient systems and mentor high-performing teams. With at least 5 years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics (manufacturing strongly preferred), you excel at balancing long-term strategy with day-to-day execution. You’re eager to implement best practices, foster supplier relationships, and align supply chain performance with real-time production needs.

Requirements

  • Purchasing Experience: 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain support (manufacturing or industrial preferred)
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Experience purchasing raw materials, fabricated parts, or industrial components is an asset
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately
  • Technical Understanding: Ability to read bills of materials (BOMs) or specifications preferred
  • Systems Proficiency: Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office
  • Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, follow through, and support timely resolution

Responsibilities

  • Purchase Order Management: Process and manage purchase orders for materials, components, and services required for trailer production
  • Order Accuracy & Confirmation: Verify pricing, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates with suppliers prior to release
  • Supplier Follow-Up: Track open purchase orders and proactively follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery
  • Production Support: Coordinate with production and inventory teams to prevent material shortages or delays
  • Supplier Communication: Communicate with suppliers regarding lead times, backorders, substitutions, and availability
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve receiving discrepancies, damaged shipments, and invoice mismatches
  • System Accuracy: Maintain accurate purchasing records within the ERP/MRP system
  • Continuous Improvement: Support cost control, process improvements, and purchasing efficiency initiatives
