About The Position

Purchase Clearing Specialist Position Purpose: Facilitate the sale of mortgage loans to the secondary market and assist with the Bank’s regulatory reporting process. Qualities of a successful candidate include: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Post-secondary education is helpful. Prior accounting, secretarial and/or bank lending experience is helpful Must be a mature, responsible individual with a professional appearance, be dependable, and take pride in their work Attention to detail is a must in this position General PC knowledge, including the internet, is required, accurate typing capabilities, and ability to learn various computer software programs Familiarity with loan documentation requirements is helpful; however, detailed knowledge is not a mandatory prerequisite Must enjoy assisting customers and fellow employees Must be able to multi-task and work under stress and pressure Must be trustworthy and maintain a high level of confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Identify, translate, and document investor conditions of mortgage deficiencies
• Clear deficiencies sot that investor will purchase mortgage
• Build relationships with investor representatives
• Understand the entire mortgage process (applications, documentation, disclosures)
• Ability to work professionally both inside and outside the bank
• Clear written and spoken communication is a necessity
• Pipeline management/time management is a key component to success
