The Purchase Assistant in the Materials Management Warehouse will be responsible for order placement of products and required to supervise a small staff. The role involves placing orders, tracking orders, maintaining and replenishing inventory through a manual/visual and database tracking system, picking orders, and ensuring par levels and order accuracy for inventory management. The Purchase Assistant will also ensure that deliveries and drivers are accurate and efficient with routes, GPS, customer service, and equipment needed for drivers to provide a pleasant customer service outcome. Staff supervision includes scheduling, performance evaluations, and training of staff. The position coordinates services and communication with administrative, purchasing, vendors, and customers. Additionally, the Purchase Assistant must be able to operate motorized equipment and operate a motor vehicle with palletized loads when needed. The role also involves reconciling invoices with Accounts Payable and vendors as needed and tracking purchase orders as necessary.
