About The Position
The Inside Commercial Tire Service position at Purcell Tire & Rubber Company is designed to address the tire needs of customers in a safe and efficient manner. The mission of this role is to ensure that all tire-related services are performed using the proper tools and techniques, thereby maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction. The position requires a proactive approach to customer service, ensuring that all interactions reflect the company's commitment to quality and professionalism. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of essential duties including identifying and inflating tires correctly based on size and ply specifications. You will also operate balancing machines to determine the necessary counterweights for wheel balancing. The job involves dismounting wheels from vehicles using lug wrenches and other hand and power tools, as well as mounting wheels back onto vehicles. Additionally, you will be tasked with reassembling tires onto wheels, replacing valve stems, and removing any puncturing objects from tires. Another critical aspect of the job is to locate and seal punctures, perform lube, oil, filter, and tire services on passenger and light truck vehicles as needed. Maintaining positive relationships with customers is paramount, as is the upkeep of tools and related tire accessories. You will also be expected to maintain a clean shop environment that reflects the corporate image of Purcell Tire. Protecting company assets and embracing a culture of safety are essential components of this role, as is regular attendance in accordance with the assigned schedule. The position may also require you to perform other essential and non-essential duties as assigned by management.
