About The Position

This is a fast-paced job shop environment. After training in our manufacturing system, employees are expected to perform at the established production flow rate. This role reports to the Production Manager and other management personnel and operates within an aerospace manufacturing environment under the AS9100 quality system. The Punch Press Operator ensures that all products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.

Requirements

• Ability to read blueprints (required).
• Good penmanship (required).
• Computer literacy is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Micrometers
• Calipers
• Other standard measuring tools
• Minimum of two years of verifiable experience performing the duties listed above.

Responsibilities

• Maintain excellent punctuality and attendance.
• Set up punch presses, including pancake dies and some progressive dies.
• Set up each job according to routing report instructions and engineering drawings.
• Use assigned tooling to complete each job.
• Pull tooling and prepare setups for upcoming jobs.
• Operate punch press machines safely and efficiently.
• Read and follow routing report instructions accurately.
• Work in an efficient and timely manner, multitasking when necessary.
• Perform duties with minimal supervision.
• Adapt to a very fast-paced job shop environment.
